Village
It is on the way from Amphoe Muang to Amphoe Tha Bo on highway
211. Villagers grow tobacco along the river bank of the Mekong
river. There is beautiful scenery to see, the foreign tourists
are interested in studying the local way of life.

Luang
Pho Phar Cho Ong Tue
Luang Pho Phra Cho Ong Tue is the largest gold Buddha image
of Nong Khai. The image is at Wat Nam mong. No Clear record
exits of when the image was molded but a stone inscription
states the image was built in 1562 by King Chai Chettha. The
King and 7 noblemen who close to him employed 500 workers
to mold the image by using a mixture of gold, brass and silver.
Legend has it that the god Indra and 108 angels had to help
finish it, consuming 7 years and 7 months at a cost of 8.4
million baht. It is said a person sadness will disappear with
a look at the image.
Wat Nam Mong can be reached by taking highway No.211 to km.31
and turning left for 2.2 km. past Tha Bo market.

Phan-Kra-yor
Village
It is on the highway from Ban Nong Song Hong to Amphoe Tha
Bo. People make plates of rice flour which they use them to
wrap egg rolls. They are exported aboard now. It is a local
industry.
